Nuance Communications Inc has acquired the popular onscreen keypad maker, Swype Inc. for whopping 102.5 million $. Nuance, specialized in speech recognition (powers iOS’s Siri) and digital imaging will solidify it’s place in Android and Smartphone arena. 77.5 mn $ is already paid to Swype’s shareholders while the remaining amount will be paid after 18 months.
