Android ICS to support native screenshots

One need not root their Android device running Icecream Sandwich and install 3rd party applications just to take screenshots. Icecream Sandwich (android version 4.0) will natively support taking screenshots. Clicking on Volume down + power buttons simultaneously will take the screenshot and will be automatically saved to Gallery.

    That is good. But, ICS will be Android version 4.0 I believe.
    Also, only this or will they provide a proper API to support this feature in code?
