Visa has announced their brand new digital wallet program, named V.me. V.me can be used as a digital wallet as well as new click to buy acceptance mark. Consumers can pay using V.me while they are shopping online or using PC/tablet/smartphone etc, using Visa and non-visa account.
"We are working with our financial institution clients and merchants
on their participation in V.me and have launched an invitation-only beta
of V.me capabilities in the US and Canada, so that we can introduce
consumer enrollment and payments in early 2012.", said Jennifer Schulz, Head of Global Product Strategy
