Google TV to use Marvel's ARM based SoC now

Marvell's Armada 1500 HD Media SoC will be the new heart for Google TV consoles, replacing Intel's Atom CPU.

"I believe this is a major breakthrough movement and it's just the beginning of our bigger vision. The same forces that are revolutionizing today's television experience will transform numerous vertical applications for small businesses and large enterprises, enhancing the way we all work, connect with each other and collaborate globally."

  1. Hardware-accelerated, dual-stream multi-standard, video decode and audio decode
  2. Low-power
  3. Qdeo Video processing
  4. Dual CPU SMP cores running at 1.2GHz
  5. Full suite of integrated peripherals (such as USB, Ethernet, HDMI, SATA, and SDIO)
  6. Turnkey reference designs of connected applications
