Microsof has removed the curtains on highly anticipated social networking project, So.cl. Today they have uploaded a video showing off so.cl capabilities and have opened this social network for trail (though it is only for few education institutions). Designed at Microsoft's FUSE labs, so.cl is research project that focuses on social search as a means of learning.

For more information on so.cl, head here.We expect students to continue using products such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other existing social networks, as well as Bing, Google and other search tools. We hope to encourage students to reimagine how our everyday communication and learning tools can be improved, by researching, learning and sharing in their everyday lives.
